Crest Nicholson has made significant progress on the site, The first phases of the country park have been open for nearly a year and 103 homes were occupied as of July 2024, with many more under construction.

WHEN WILL THE NEW BRIDGES BE OPENING?
Neighbours will have seen that the new pedestrian and vehicular bridges have been built. However, they still need to be approved by Network Rail before they can be connected and opened, and there is not a date for their opening at this point. For now, gates and fencing have been installed to prevent unauthorised access for safety reasons.
WHEN WILL THE VISITOR CENTRE AND PLAYGROUND OPEN?
While both are nearly fully built, Crest Nicholson is working with Ipswich Borough Council to secure the necessary infrastructure to allow them to open. There will then be notifications sent out and hopefully an opening party.
WHAT WILL THERE BE ASIDE FROM HOUSING?
The Country Park is the highlight for the new and existing community, but there will also be smaller play parks for various ages in amongst the residential areas, as well as a school and local centre. The local centre will have space for convenience stores, other retail and cafe/restaurant space, and we will share the details of who is taking the spaces as soon as we can.
HOW LONG UNTIL THE WHOLE NEIGHBOURHOOD IS FINISHED?
This is a long term project and we will be building the final phases in the mid 2030s.
HOW CAN I ACCESS THE COUNTRY PARK?
There are entrances to the currently open areas on Lower Road.
